Batteries and Battery-Embedded Products – California E-Waste Law
Allen and Ultrx are providing notice of battery-embedded products that are subject to electronic waste (e-waste) recycling requirements in California.
Under California’s Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003, as amended by Senate Bill (SB) 1215, manufacturers must inform retailers of products containing embedded batteries. Certain products are subject to a waste recycling fee, which retailers are responsible for collecting at the time of sale.
